Menopause Questionnaire

This questionnaire is based on the Greene Climacteric Scale, which is a globally recognized test used to assess the severity of menopausal symptoms. The scale measures a range of physical, psychological, and vasomotor symptoms to help identify the impact of menopause on women’s health.

Instructions for Completing the Menopause Questionnaire
  • Read each symptom listed carefully.
  • Think about how much this symptom has bothered you recently.
  • For each symptom, place a checkmark (✓) in the box that best describes your experience:
  • Not at all bothersome → 0 points
  • Slightly bothersome → 1 point
  • Quite bothersome → 2 points
  • Extremely bothersome → 3 points
  • When you have finished, add up the points for all symptoms to get your total score.
  • Compare your total score to the interpretation guide provided at the end of the questionnaire to understand your results.

Interpretation of Results
  • 0–11 points → No signs of climacteric (menopausal) syndrome.
  • 12–34 points → Mild manifestation of the syndrome.
  • 35–58 points → Moderate severity; hormonal replacement therapy may be considered for a certain period.
  • Above 59 points → Severe symptoms; regular monitoring by an endocrinologist and gynaecologist is required to control the condition and determine treatment.
